Gorgeous little two-stroke 1947 Firestone 3.5 HP Outboard motor with a problem. Was completely taken apart, cleaned, restored and coated. Looks great, got it to run, smoked a little when started up, as is common with these older two-strokes. Long-ish shaft. Good compression. Howeover, it leaks fuel a little and the top nut on the fly-wheel was sheared off. Missing the original starter rope. Keep in mind it's basic in many ways and may need some TLC, not just now, but all the time. Not many nifty automatic features around in 1947. No reverse, choke is manual, etc. A little bit of mechanical-mindedness is a requirement. If you know how to fix it, you'll have a great little outboard in this.
We are in Mill Bay, but can meet anywhere between Mill Bay and Duncan.
